My husband, Guy and I purchased a small bloodstock insurance company in 1991 and spent the next 30 years developing it into KBIS British Equestrian Insurance.  My areas of interest were in giving excellent customer service, HR and complaints handling. 

We are proud of the business we created and made a decision to sell it in 2020, by this stage it was one of the top fourequine brokers in the country, offering excellent customer service, with a reputation for having expert staff and employed over 40 people.  

We then turned to our equal passion, sailing and everything marine and along with Keith Lovett and Will Prest set up Stoneways Marine Insurance Services.  I have to admit, I married into sailing and enjoyed several years of cruising with young children on an MG Spring. 

As our son Will grew up, he and Guy moved heavily into racing yachts.  I have regained my love of cruising when Guy retired from racing and bought a motor boat.  We now spend our leisure time cruising in the Solent and along the South Coast as well as chartering abroad when ever possible. 

We are bringing the lessons learnt with KBIS to Stoneways Marine Insurance Services and look forward to meeting the insurance needs of the marine industry.
