With the exception of a few years spent working for a Marine Finance House, Julie has spent almost her entire working career with some of the main South Coast based Marine Insurance Brokers.

She joined Thompson Heath and Bond in 1984 straight from college, then moved to Carrington International Insurance Brokers before joining Ancasta International Boat Sales as their in house insurance representative.  Finally settling with Denovo Underwriting Agencies, which was owned and run by her Husband John until it was acquired by Stoneways Marine in 2021.

Whilst not a boating person, over the years she has been lucky enough to spend time on friends’ motorboats and feels that having spent almost 40 years in its realms, she has a good understanding of the Marine Industry of both motor and sailing vessels and the industry in general. 

When not working she enjoys sewing, cake decorating and gardening.
